Notes

In July, 1952, at a party at the home of Edy Millman in Woodstock, NY, Quintanilla met Margaret Lowengrund (American artist-printmaker and 57th Street art dealer -- 1905-1957). At her request, he sketched this portrait on a lithographic stone and she printed an edition of 10. Lowengrund kept seven for herself to sell in her New York gallery, while giving three to the artist (unpublished Notes of Paul Quintanilla).
